Rwanda Peacekeepers donate scholastic kits to schools in Bangui City


Bangui, 20 May 2016

The Rwanbatt3 serving under the Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Central Africa Republic (MINUSCA), on 20 May offered scholastic and office materials to two schools, in Bangui, the CAR capital city. The materials worth about Seven (7) Millions in local currency were donated to the GBANYA DOMBIA Primary school, affiliated to the Muslim community, located at 3rd Arrondissement PK5, and to the MALIKAMA Primary school, affiliated to Christian community, located at 5th Arrondissement.

The guest of honour for this event was the CAR’s Minister of Education, Honourable Noure MOUKADAS. Minister Moukadas expressed gratitude to the Government of Rwanda in general and to Rwanbatt3 in particular for the continued support to the Central African Republic. He highlighted the significance of the donation as being a clear evidence of solidarity between the two sister Nations, namely CAR and Rwanda. "Sincerely you have showed that a friend in need is a friend indeed”, Minister Moukadas thankfully said.



After distributing the scholastic and office materials kits, the Rwanbatt3 Commanding Officer Lt Col C. Kirenga, thanked all invited guests for having blessed the function with their presence. He further assured all present and the Christian and Muslim communities in particular that his Contingent is willing and committed to deliver to the best of its capacity.
