Joint Task Force Commander hosts and presides over an operational meeting at Rwanda Security Force (RSF) HQ in Mocimboa da Praia Town

Today, 23 September 2023, Maj Gen A Kagame the JTF Commander received at RSF HQs a delegation led by FADM Head of Operations, Brig Gen Chongo Vidigal, accompanied by Chief J2 Brig Gen Recaldo Macuvelle together with other FADM Senior Officers. JTF Command convened and presided over the meeting between both parties (RSF & FADM).

The purpose of the meeting was to review operations. On behalf of the RSF, Maj Gen A Kagame the RSF-JTF Comd briefed the delegation on the current operations done by RSF in the Joint Operations Area. The JTF Command expressed gratitude for the prevailing cooperation between RSF & FADM and assured more cooperation in future operations in the fight against the Islamic State-linked terrorists in Mozambique’s northernmost Province of Cabo Delgado.

The head of delegation Brig Gen Chongo Vidigal appreciated the support by RSF forces in restoring sustainable peace and security in Cabo Delgado Province.
