NEW FACA RECRUITS GRADUATE FROM MILITARY TRAINING CONDUCTED BY RDF INSTRUCTORS
Today, 566 new soldiers formally enrolled into the Central African Armed Forces (FACA) after successfully completing six months of basic military training. An additional 104 personnel, including senior non-commissioned officers (NCOs), completed four months of career training. Both training programmes were conducted by instructors from the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF), in collaboration with the FACA.
The pass-out ceremony, held at Camp Kassaï military barracks in Bangui, was presided over by H.E. Prof. Faustin-Archange Touadéra, President of the Central African Republic, and attended by Maj. Gen. Vincent Nyakarundi, the RDF Army Chief of Staff, HE Kayumba Olivier, the Rwandan Ambassador to the Central African Republic, senior government officials and Defence attaches accredited to the Central African Republic.
The Chief of General Staff of the Central African Armed Forces, Gen ZĂ©phirin MAMADOU welcomed the newly trained personnel, saying they would join their fellow soldiers in protecting the countryâs territorial integrity. He expressed gratitude to H.E. President Paul Kagame for Rwandaâs military cooperation with the Central African Republic, which he said had produced positive results.
âThis graduation marks the completion of the fifth intake by military instructors from Rwanda Defence Force, with the ultimate objective of preventing the activities of the enemies of peace. I have no doubt that the skills acquired during this course will contribute to protecting the country and its people,â said by Gen ZĂ©phirin MAMADOU.
The RDF Army Chief of Staff, Maj Gen Vincent Nyakarundi indicated that the pass-out ceremony was a testament to the dedication, discipline and commitment demonstrated by the trainees throughout their training. He added that it reflected their readiness to serve with professionalism and uphold the values and responsibilities entrusted to them as soldiers, equipped with the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
The training was conducted within the framework of the strong and longstanding relationship between the RDF and FACA, which is reflected in bilateral military cooperation and joint efforts in peacekeeping.
