RDF CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF BRIEFS SECURITY FORCES READY TO RELIEVE THEIR COLLEAGUES IN CABO DELGADO, MOZAMBIQUE

Today, Rwanda Defence Force Chief of Defence Staff, Lt Gen Mubarakh Muganga met Security Forces ready to deploy to Cabo Delgado Province, Mozambique. The briefing was held at Kami Barracks.
He conveyed to them the message from the President of Republic of Rwanda and Commander in Chief of Rwanda Defence Force, H.E Paul KAGAME.
The CDS reminded the troops that commitment and discipline are key to success in operations. The mission is still the same; to maintain Mozambican State authority by conducting combat and security operations, as well as stabilization and security sector reform.
He also told them that the previous contingents did a great job and this must be maintained.
This deployment is based on the good bilateral relations between the Republic of Rwanda and the Republic of Mozambique.
The departing Rwanda Security Forces will be under command of Maj Gen Alexis Kagame.
