RDF detains soldiers over criminal allegations in Bugesera District
Kigali, 12 June 2020
Since 10 June 2020, the Rwanda Defence Force has in custody two military personnel over allegations of criminal misconduct against residents of Rugarama village, Nyamata Cell, Nyamata Sector in Bugesera District.
RDF assures the public that justice will take its course. The court hearing shall be held in public at the scene of the alleged crimes.
RDF strongly condemns any violation of Rwandan law, or RDF ethics and values by its personnel. Justice, security, and support for the affected community are our utmost priority.
