RDF Inter Force Sports competition reaches quarter-finals

The Rwanda Defence Force Inter Force competition resumed after two years of halting due to safety concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today, the competition reached the quarter-finals. Sport in RDF aims at making a vital contribution to boosting force morale and enhancing physical fitness.

The RDF Inter Force Competition 2022-2023 started at lower levels in RDF Units in November 2022 and will culminate on 31 January 2023. RDF men and women are competing in seven different disciplines including football, basketball, volleyball, handball, netball, athletics and shooting.

RDF identifies talented individuals from this tournament who will be selected to participate in international military competitions such as the East African Community Military Games, among others.

Football

Republican Guard 1-0 Division 4 (4Div) at Bugesera Stadium
General Headquarters 1-2 Mechanised Infantry at IPRC Kicukiro

Volleyball 

Rwanda Air Force 2-3 Republican Guard at Busanza Barracks
General Headquarters 3-0 RMA Gako at Busanza Barracks
