Rwandan peacekeepers under UNMISS provide medical care to residents of GOROM PAYAM in South Sudan

On 16 March 2022, Rwandan peacekeepers (Rwanbatt3) under United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) conducted patrols from Durupi Base Camp, Juba to Gorom Payam about 13 km from Base.

The Rwanbatt3 forces also provided health services including testing and treatment of blood pressure, eye diseases, intestinal parasites and wound dressing among others.  180 people mainly women and children received treatment.

The people of Gorom Payam thanked Rwandan peacekeepers for health services provided to them.

Rwanbatt3 Deputy Contingent Commander, Lt Col Alex NKURANGA thanked the population of Gorom Payam and their leaders for good collaboration with Rwandan peacekeepers.
