UNMISS FORCE COMMANDER VISITS RWANBATT-3
The United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) Force Commander, Major General Junhui Wu, today visited Rwandan peacekeepers serving with RWANBATT-3 in Durupi. The Force Commander was accompanied by the Sector South Commander, Brigadier General Shishir Bharadwaj, and other UNMISS Headquarters staff.
Upon arrival, he was received by the Contingent Commander, Colonel Innocent Rwaka Muhirwe, who briefed him on the Battalion's ongoing operations, operational effectiveness, and the challenges affecting mission delivery.
Major General Junhui Wu commended the Rwandan peacekeepers for their professionalism, discipline, dedication, and continued contribution to the implementation of the UNMISS mandate.
He urged RWANBATT-3 personnel to remain vigilant and maintain a high level of operational readiness, emphasizing the importance of executing their mandate effectively while upholding the high standards expected of United Nations peacekeepers.
"We need to remain vigilant and carry out our tasks effectively," Major General Junhui Wu emphasized, encouraging the Rwandan peacekeepers to sustain their commitment, professionalism, and dedication to duty.
