Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) 37 officers and two from Rwanda National Police completed Junior Command and Staff Course (JCSC/10) at Rwanda Defence Force Command and Staff College, in Musanze District, on 28 March 2018.
In his remarks while officiating the closing ceremony, the Commandant of the RDF Command and Staff College (RDFCSC), Major General J Bosco Kazura congratulated the graduates for having demonstrated resilience and commitment during the four-month training.
He reminded the graduates that they would soon embark on a new journey with new assignments, therefore they must be prepared. “You will require to work hard and achieve more to continue to be saluted in your future and enduring career” the Commandant said before noting that “What you have learnt here will help you in particular, the RDF and our country in general, to earn a recognition whenever you will go for missions abroad and/or senior courses”.
Maj Gen J B Kazura further advised the graduates to display a strong will in using what they learnt for the benefit of the people.
The Chief Instructor of the College, Col Chrisostome Ngendahimana reported that the graduates successfully completed training modules that included force organization, military intelligence, tactics, logistics, land and air operations, peace support operations, routine and operation service writing, communication skills among others.
On behalf of the graduates, Lt Col Lydia Bagwaneza from RDF mentioned that they have acquired knowledge and skills which will enable them to perform their duties in a professional manner.
Maj Ephrem Ngoga emerged as overall best student while Maj Francis Gatare won the best Commandant’s Paper; an academic final research work. From its inception, the college has graduated 363 students of the Junior Command and Staff level. The ceremony was also attended by Senior Officers, graduates’ spouses and families as well as local authorities of Northern Province.
