RWANDA DEFENCE FORCE LIBERATION CUP TOURNAMENT 2024 KICKS OFF
Kigali, 16 April 2024
The Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) Liberation Cup Tournament 2024 edition start off in Kigali with seven sports disciplines including Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Netball, Athletics, and shooting.
The Liberation Cup Tournament 2024 is consisting of 17 teams from RDF Units/Formations divided into 4 groups. Trophies, medals, and awards will be presented before the marking of the 30th Liberation Day.
The first stage of the competition will be held in various locations where RDF Units/Formations are deployed. The competition is organised in form of championship where national and international sports rules and regulations will be applied.
The Liberation Cup Tournament is an annual inter-force competition organized by RDF to boost force morale and comradeship within RDF units/formations, enhance civil military cooperation and join the Rwandan community to celebrate Liberation Day.
